Cameron Van Der Berg is the Founder and CEO of Infravision, automating how the world builds its power grid.
Cam studied mechanical engineering in Australia and spent years working in high-voltage transmission, where power lines were still installed much the same way they had been for decades: by helicopter—dangerous, slow, and difficult to scale. That experience led him to a larger insight that continues to shape his work today: the energy transition isn’t primarily a generation problem. It’s a delivery problem. Solving it requires fundamentally rethinking how grid infrastructure is built.
In 2018, he turned that conviction into Infravision, building a proprietary drone platform that automates transmission line construction across three continents. The technology strings the largest transmission lines on the planet at up to 10 times the speed of conventional methods, with a fraction of the risk. Infravision has raised over $116M and is scaling end-to-end transmission line construction across the United States, India, and Australia, for the utilities, developers, and tech giants driving the next wave of power demand.
